Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd was 14 when she started to take part in the combat sports. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd continued to build on her victory during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. Then, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen to beat her an unanimous decision. This put an ominous mark on her record in her amateur. Ladd recovered from this loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen started her professional career in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta 11, she was able to dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and won via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock out McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows & punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round by TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound for a second-round TKO victory. Her dominance grew and she won a much more convincing victory during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger to the punch in the opening round, and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee, she fought Sijara-Eubanks in her debut fight. The two fighters had a close fight that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd after 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her loss was a unanimous one.
